Livingroom Yoga and Mindfulness
Livingroom Yoga is given by Josien Suntjens and is based on Hatha yoga. Hatha yoga is the most widespread form of yoga practised worldwide and consists of different postures and breathing exercises. It is a dynamic form of yoga in which your breathing connects the the different yoga poses. A really good way to get out of your head and in your body.
Josien also gives 8 weeks MBSR Mindfulness Trainings. It will help you to become more aware of your thoughts, feelings and body and get less distracted by daily noise. Tools will be given to experience more peace and make choices which suppport your desired lifestyle.
What can yoga and mindfulness do for you?
Hatha yoga has a positive effect on your posture. You will develop strength, flexibility and freedom of movement. Stress reduces significantly. Yoga and mindfulness increase self awareness and you can obtain a better understanding of your struggles. What you experience on the mat, will also pop up in daily life. The breath can be the anchor point in the postures and you will become more aware of it during the day. Yoga can help to keep your balance, to listen to your body and mind and set your boundaries. The result is getting a stronger and more flexible body regardless of your starting point. A better posture and breath. Your energy level might increase, a peaceful mind and better able to cope with stress.
Livingroom Yoga started at Josien’s home near the World Fashion Centre. Since two years the yoga and mindfulness classes are given at the Fysio Amsterdam West, just five minutes away.
